CA Tuesday revealed plans to expand its India Technology Center (ITC) in Hyderabad, investing USD 30 million in the process.
The new facility, which will boast a new 180,000 square foot building will focus on research and development and is slated for completion in late 2010.
Referring to the investment as a bold move amidst the current uncertain economic situation, CA said it plans to add an additional 1,000 employees to the center which currently hosts some 1,600 employees.
“As the world's leading independent IT management software company, CA relies on a vibrant and diverse workforce with major sites around the world,” said Dr. Ajei Gopal, executive vice president of CA’s Enterprise IT Management Group.
“The ITC is one of CA’s largest locations and is essential to CA’s continued ability to deliver industry-leading solutions to our customers. With this new building, we will be able to accommodate anticipated growth in our R&D, technical support, IT infrastructure management, applications development and professional services teams.”
Opened just a year ago after four years of CA R&D activity in India, the ITC now contributes to the development of all major CA products in the areas of IT management, governance and security. The ITC team plays a central role in applying CA’s Enterprise IT Management (EITM) vision to unifying and simplifying IT management for customers and partners all over the world, developing innovative solutions to govern, manage and secure IT environments.
“Work carried out at the ITC is critical to CA operations around the world. We have created a world-class working environment at the ITC to attract the best talent,” said Lokesh Jindal, senior vice president and general manager of CA’s ITC. |
