Serena Delivers Business Mashups On Demand |

Serena Software has made its Business Mashup solution available via Software as a Service (SaaS), allowing users to bypass the hassle of installing software and manage infrastructure.
Serena Mashups On Demand offers new features to create more consumer-looking Mashups, which will encourage more end users to embrace Mashups as a way to solve simple business problems and be more productive.
As part of this on demand release, Serena has integrated Rich Interface Mashups™ (RIMs) into the solution, allowing users to simply drag and drop widgets, RSS feeds, Flash components and other types of consumer data into their workplace Mashups.
“Serena Business Mashups allow knowledge workers around the world to automate processes to solve their everyday business problems. Now these processes can be deployed in minutes via the Web. It’s about time enterprise software provided the same instant gratification that consumer software has been delivering for years,” said René Bonvanie, senior vice president, global marketing, partnerships, and online services, Serena Software.
Mashups On Demand is one of three solutions Serena will provide this year via SaaS. In March, Serena delivered Serena® Mariner®(Project and Portfolio Management) on demand and later this year Serena will provide Agile Lifecycle Management tools as a service.
According to a May 2008 Forrester report titled “The Mashup Opportunity,” the SaaS market is set to become a 700 million dollar market by 2013.
Serena’s new subscription pricing structure for Mashups On Demand starts from 15 dollars per user per month. |
