NEC Vietnam Opens 1st Branch Office outside Hanoi

NEC Solutions Vietnam has officially opened its first branch office in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) to service existing and potential customers located at the southern area of Vietnam.

Set up in January 2008 and operational since June, the Ho Chi Minh City office is tasked with engaging in system integration and software development at both its Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh offices.

According to NEC Solutions the two operating offices are aimed at increasing its software development and systems integration businesses in Vietnam, and to develop productive and high-quality software.

“The opening of our branch office in Ho Chi Minh City reaffirms our commitment to the development of the Vietnamese IT industry, and we are looking to achieve a sales target of 1.2billion (Yen 1,200,000,000) by April 2010,” said Mr. Toshio Morita, Chairman and President, NEC Solutions Vietnam Co., Ltd.

NEC Solutions Vietnam was jointly established in April 2006 by NEC Soft., Ltd. (“NEC Soft”,) based in Tokyo, and NEC Asia Pte. Ltd. (“NEC Asia”) based in Singapore (previously known as NEC Solutions Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd.) to expand software development and system integration business in Vietnam.

In May 2008, NEC Solutions Vietnam merged with Sang Tao Corporation, a well-established software development company in Ho Chi Minh City, to expand its businesses in Vietnam and to retain top talent so as to establish sustainable dominance in the software solutions businesses.
