International Business Machine (IBM) has said its BPO division; IBM Daksh is not for sale.

Daksh is one of India’s best-known BPOs and employs half of IBM 53,000 employees in India. “It is IBM’s practice not to comment on rumors or speculation, but I will stress that IBM Daksh is a key part of IBM’s services portfolio. It has been highly successful since being purchased by IBM in 2004 and we expect that success to continue and its strategic importance to IBM to grow,” the company said.

Of late there has been a spate of instances when many companies have either cashed out of their BPO operations or have sold it for a higher valuation. Today Indian BPOs are besotted with higher attrition rates and rising salaries.
