Google, often known for using every inch of space in its site for marketing is now doing something good. It has offered Google applications free of cost to nonprofit organisations.
Google held a party recently with the Nonprofit Technology Network (NTEN), a organisation in the US that represents techies. At the party, Google announced that it is making its free Google Apps Education Edition available to registered nonprofits in the US. Google Apps includes Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Talk, Google Document and Spreadsheets, Google Start Page, and Google Page Creator.
Google's mission here is not to make money but to give back to the world. |
