Japanese games developer Nintendo has unveiled some new gadgets and games that are soon to be released for the Wii.

Launching the new games at the E3 event in California, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime said that business for Nintendo has improved over last year, but much of that is due to the excellent sales of the Wii, Nintendo's next-generation game console.

Nintendo has seen more than 40 per cent growth in the US and Europe, and a 110 per cent increase in Japan.

He also said that Nintendo plans to launch more than 100 titles for the Wii and about 140 for the hand-held DS system.
